Where should I start? I always looked golf from a distance. It seemed like people where having a good time, trying to hit that little white ball around. It sure didn't look that hard, but then I remembered trying it once when I was about 18 years old. That memory was burned into my head. It was so much harder than it looked, (at least to me).

I decided back then I would not play golf again. It was just not for me. I didn't until a couple of years ago. I am now 49 years old. Now golf has got a hold on me, I'm sure you know the feeling if you are reading this. I feel that it is still so much harder than it looks to hit that ball, but for some reason I am drawn to it, almost compelled to try to hit it, day after day. This is where the name for this website comes from.
Seven Day Golf. Playing golf seven days a week. I don't get to do that, but I think about playing seven days a week.
On this site I will be compiling articles about playing golf, from my own experiences and maybe from some others. I think if you are learning to play, you will find comfort in the honest words I will be using. I doubt I am that much different than you. You may be more athletic than me, most people are, but if you are learning to play golf, you will be as frustrated as I have been. I will also be exploring some of the mental aspects that I have run into.
You are invited to share your experiences here as well. You can comment to what I write and you are even invited to write an entire entry if you wish. Just email it to me and I'll be glad to post it. I hope we can all share some good hints and tricks for beginners here. Don't be shy.
